I. Position Summary
Ensuring consistent drink quality by preparing orders in a short period of time and in accordance with recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department while providing an exceptional guest experience
II. Job Functions
· Opening and closing of bar
· Greeting guests in a friendly and timely manner with your name and any specials/recommendations
· Understanding and utilizing seat numbers in the bar and service area
· Verifying guests who purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age, and that alcohol is consumed in designated areas
· Using TAM techniques to monitor guest’s alcohol consumption
· Maintaining a clean and stocked workstation and bar equipment according to health department guidelines
o Cleaning glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
o Preparing garnishes for drinks
o Utilizing day dots and labels
o Clearing and resetting bar area
o Daily deep cleaning tasks
· Possessing full knowledge of bar/food products and trends in alcohol along with suggestive selling techniques
· Accurately taking orders and delivering orders in a timely manner
· Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcohol drinks consistent with drink recipe ingredients and portioning for the entire restaurant
· Holding servers accountable when drinks are input incorrectly
· Preparing and processing check in a timely manner
· Understanding and utilization of POS functions
· Ability to maintain an accurate bank
· Assisting in stocking alcohol
· Creating a personalized experience for each guest
· Fully understanding upselling, sales approaches, common complaints, how to prioritize yourself, how to maintain bar area, safety and sanitation, company policies, and the basic steps of service
